El IRTA<\/a>, <\/span>est\u00e1 ubicado en Sant Carles de la R\u00e0pita, tiene una ubicaci\u00f3n privilegiada cerca de las zonas de pesca del marisco. El IRTA es el responsable de llevar a cabo el \u00abPrograma de seguimiento de la calidad del agua en las zonas de pesca de marisco de Catalu\u00f1a\u00bb desde 1999 y, por tanto, est\u00e1 en estrecho contacto con el sector productivo y administrativo.<\/p>\n

El IRTA tambi\u00e9n ha comenzado a realizar an\u00e1lisis de fitoplancton marino de la Costa Valenciana. Adem\u00e1s, el IRTA tambi\u00e9n cuenta con instalaciones de investigaci\u00f3n acu\u00edcola, tanto en el interior como en el exterior.<\/p>\n

Se trata de la colecci\u00f3n p\u00fablica y oficial de microalgas y cianobacterias espa\u00f1olas y est\u00e1 acreditada como Autoridad Internacional para el Dep\u00f3sito de Microorganismos por la Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de la Propiedad Industrial (OMPI).<\/p>\n

El prop\u00f3sito para el que se crea el Instituto es \u00abservir como una herramienta \u00fatil para la sociedad y convertirse en un referente en la materia de sanidad animal y seguridad alimentaria\u00bb, no solo en Canarias, sino tambi\u00e9n en el resto de nuestro pa\u00eds y en el mundo. Nuestra situaci\u00f3n estrat\u00e9gica, geogr\u00e1fica y cultural, y los eventos que estamos viviendo en cuanto a la propagaci\u00f3n de enfermedades, la aparici\u00f3n de nuevos problemas de salud en el mundo, amplias \u00e1reas de pobreza y flujos migratorios masivos desde esas mismas \u00e1reas, nos permiten abrir, desde Europa, amplias l\u00edneas de colaboraci\u00f3n con pa\u00edses de \u00c1frica y Centro y Sudam\u00e9rica, permitiendo el desarrollo cultural y sanitario de esas mismas \u00e1reas.<\/p>\n

El principal inter\u00e9s investigador del Laboratorio de Espectrometr\u00eda de Masas-Contaminantes Org\u00e1nicos del IDAEA-CSIC se centra en el estudio de contaminantes org\u00e1nicos en concentraciones de traza en las matrices pertenecientes a los diferentes compartimentos ambientales. El laboratorio tiene experiencia en an\u00e1lisis de toxinas (microcistinas, toxinas, STXs, CTXs, TTXs, entre otras) mediante diferentes metodolog\u00edas basadas en LC-MS, LC-MS \/ MS, LC-HRMS espectrometr\u00eda de masas; MALDI-TOF \/ TOF.<\/p>\n
